Is your bookkeeping where it needs to be?

Four questions. Under two minutes. See how your current setup stacks up.

How up to date are your financial records right now?

How do you currently handle your VAT returns and HMRC submissions?

Do you use accounting software like Xero to manage your finances?

Are you aware of your Making Tax Digital obligations for the current tax year?

YOUR RESULT

Your books need attention before this becomes a bigger problem

Based on your answers, your records and HMRC obligations are in a position that carries real risk. Disorganised records, missed deadlines and gaps in VAT compliance can trigger penalties from HMRC, and those penalties grow the longer the situation continues. The good news is that this is fixable, and I have helped businesses in exactly this position get everything back on track. Book a free call and we can talk through where things stand without any judgment.

YOUR RESULT

You have some foundations in place, but the gaps are worth addressing now

You are managing, but there are areas where mistakes could be building up or time is being spent on admin that could go back into your business. Getting a proper bookkeeping setup in place now means you are not scrambling at year-end or when HMRC correspondence arrives. A free call with me takes 20 minutes and will give you a clear picture of what needs sorting.

YOUR RESULT

Your setup is solid. A regular bookkeeper keeps it that way.

You are in a good position. The challenge at this stage is maintaining that standard as your business grows, especially with MTD for Income Tax now requiring quarterly digital reporting from April 2026. Having a dedicated bookkeeper means nothing slips when things get busy. If you want to talk through whether a fixed monthly arrangement would suit you, I am happy to have that conversation.

WHAT I DO

Services that take the financial admin off your plate entirely

Everything is handled personally by me, with fixed pricing and no surprises.

01

Monthly Bookkeeping

I keep your income and expenditure records accurate and up to date every month, so you always know where your business stands financially. This also means your year-end accounts and any HMRC submissions are straightforward, because the groundwork has already been done.

From £25/month
02

VAT Returns and MTD Submissions

I prepare and file your VAT returns on time, every quarter, and handle all MTD for VAT submissions directly with HMRC through Xero. You do not need to log in to any government portal or worry about quarterly deadlines again.

03

Payroll, CIS and Self Assessment

Whether you pay staff, operate under the Construction Industry Scheme, or need a self assessment return filed accurately each year, I handle all of it. Every submission is done on time, and I communicate directly with your accountant if one is involved.

All Submissions Handled
WHY IT WORKS

Why working directly with one person makes a practical difference

Most bookkeeping problems come down to communication failures and inconsistency. Here is how this setup avoids both.

You deal with me, not a rotating team

There is no handoff to a junior, no re-explaining your business to someone new, and no waiting for a message to be passed along. When you contact me, you get me. That consistency means fewer errors and faster responses when something urgent comes up.

Fixed monthly pricing so you know exactly what you are paying

Pricing starts at £25 per month and is agreed upfront. There are no hourly surprises or variable bills at year-end. You know what you are spending on bookkeeping each month, which makes it much easier to plan your business finances.

Xero-based accounting that connects to everything you already use

I set up and manage your Xero account so your records are accurate, your MTD submissions go through without issue, and you can see your financial position in real time. If you are not on Xero yet, I handle the migration and train you on what you need to know.

GETTING STARTED

How we get started

From first conversation to everything running smoothly, here is what to expect.

01

Book a free call

We spend 20 minutes on the phone or video call talking through your business, what you need and what your current records look like. There is no obligation and no sales pressure. I just want to understand your situation before suggesting anything.

02

I send you a clear proposal

After the call I send you a fixed monthly price based on exactly what you need, with a plain summary of what is included. No small print, no variable rates, no surprise add-ons.

03

We get your records and software in order

Once you are happy to go ahead, I set up or take over your Xero account, get access to the records you have, and bring everything up to date. If things are behind, I work through the backlog without any judgment.

04

Your books run on time, every month

From that point on, I handle your bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and any other agreed submissions on a regular schedule. You get on with running your business while I keep the financial side tidy and compliant.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

No. Disorganised or incomplete records are one of the most common situations I deal with. Whether you have a carrier bag of receipts or a spreadsheet you abandoned six months ago, we can work through it together. I do not need things to be tidy before we start.
No. I work with small businesses across Suffolk and beyond. Being based in Kesgrave means I am local and available for face-to-face meetings if that suits you, but the majority of my work is done online through Xero, so location is rarely a barrier.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax launched on 6 April 2026 and currently applies to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000. The threshold drops to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028. If it applies to you, you will need to keep digital records and submit quarterly summaries to HMRC. I handle all of this through Xero, so if you are a client it is taken care of.
I donate 5% of every invoice I raise to St. Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich. It comes out of my fees, not on top of them. It is a personal commitment. My dad passed away at the hospice and this is how I continue to support the work they do.
