These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the provision of services by Acme Accounting Services (“we”, “us”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Acme Accounting Services provides bookkeeping, VAT return preparation, online accounting, and payroll services to small businesses and sole traders. The specific services provided will be agreed in a written engagement letter prior to commencement.

2. Fees and Payment

Our fees are as set out in the pricing schedule agreed at the point of engagement. Monthly retainer fees are payable in advance by direct debit or BACS transfer. We reserve the right to review and adjust fees with 30 days’ written notice.

Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. Late payment may result in suspension of services. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for us to perform our services. We cannot be held responsible for errors or omissions arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.

You are responsible for approving all work before submission to HMRC or Companies House.

4. Confidentiality

We will treat all information relating to your business as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or regulatory obligation.

5. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the relevant services in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, or opportunity.

We carry professional indemnity insurance. Details are available on request.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days’ written notice. Upon termination, all outstanding fees become immediately due. We will return or transfer your records and data in an agreed format within 14 days of settlement of final invoices.

7. Anti-Money Laundering

As a regulated accounting practice, we are required to comply with the UK Money Laundering Regulations. We may be required to verify your identity and the source of funds. We are obligated by law to report suspicions of money laundering to the relevant authorities.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
